No matter what you store with us, our units are designed to protect your items. However, anything can be damaged by a catastrophe.
As an additional protection for your stored items, we offer the My Garage Protection Plan. That way, you can rest easy knowing your stuff is protected!
We understand that the items you store in your storage unit are important to you. However, our storage facility is not responsible in the event of property loss. For this reason, our rental agreement at some of our locations (not all) requires that each tenant either maintain the My Garage Protection Plan or show proof of insurance (such as a homeowner’s policy) on their stored property.
During the rental process, tenants can select one of our protection plan offerings to ensure coverage at the start of the rental agreement.
Maintaining our Protection Plan is highly recommended, but is only required at certain locations. Our plans are specifically designed for self storage renters, and we have many benefits that other plans may not offer, but you can use your own insurance if you prefer.
If you are renting from a location where a protection plan is required, and you'd like to use your own insurance or protection plan in place of our plans, please provide a copy of the declaration page of your policy to our storage rental office within 3 days of your rental. My Garage Protection Plan selection can then be removed from your account at your request.
