What do I need to rent or reserve a storage unit?
To rent or reserve a storage unit, you’ll need a government-issued ID, payment method, and contact information such as a phone number and email address.
How do I rent or reserve a storage unit?
You can make your storage unit payments in person during our regular business hours, by mailing a money order or check, or through our online payment portal.
How do I know which storage unit is right for me?

How much does self storage cost?
That depends on various factors, such as storage unit size, location, and the type of unit you rent. Contact your local My Garage Self Storage® location for more information about pricing.
Features and Amenities
What is climate-controlled storage?
Climate-controlled storage units are kept at regulated temperatures regardless of the weather outside. These units create optimal conditions for storing temperature-sensitive items such as the following:
- Upholstered furniture
- Books and documents
- Electronic devices
- Musical instruments
- Photographs
- Artwork
Do you have packing and moving supplies?
We do! We have several packing and moving supplies for sale at our storage facilities. These supplies include packing tape, bubble wrap, and several sizes of moving boxes.
Do you have vehicle storage?
Yes! Several of our storage facilities offer outdoor, covered, and enclosed vehicle storage. These spaces vary in size and can accommodate a wide range of vehicles, including cars, RVs, and boats. Not all our storage facilities offer vehicle storage, so contact us to see if your nearby facility has any available options.
What is drive-up storage?
Drive-up storage units allow you to drive your vehicle through our facility and up to your unit door for a seamless moving experience. They are beneficial for storing large and bulky items, such as furniture and appliances.

What security features do you have?
Although our features vary between facilities, some of the security features to expect include the following:
- Smart units
- 24/7 security video recording
- Fully fenced facilities
- Gated access
What does gated access mean?
Gated access means that our storage facilities are only accessible through an electronic gate. For added security, those without access to their unique PIN will not be able to enter the facility.
What are the differences between business hours and access hours?
Business hours are when our offices are open for customers to speak with a self storage professional. Access hours go beyond business hours and are when you can enter your storage unit.
